From Shocklines 'temporary' threads today (which I feel is a discussion important to Nemonymous).
Any further thoughts, please post below in the comments.

Angeline HC ![]() Posts: 3593 (11/13/07 6:38 pm) Reply | I would never submit to any publication that wouldn't put my name on my work. I also want to know who wrote whatever it is I'm reading. I'd still read it, but prefer to know who wrote it. I can't very well go find additional work by an author I enjoy if I don't know who it is that wrote it in the first place. The whole idea of publishing fiction without the author's name with it is bizarre to me. And pointless. I'm not working as hard as I do on my work to NOT have my name appear with it. Just not gonna do it.
| Steve Vernon Nova Scotia Posts: 6636 (11/13/07 8:29 pm) Reply | It seems kind of strange to me that Nenymous, although it has no author's names does have a publisher/editor's name attached to it. If you want true anonymity, put it out there under a false name and don't mention it to anyone else and see how many people actually stumble across it. Any other conditions than that leave room for a possible double standard. Check out my website - stevevernon.ca | |||
Nemonymous ![]() Posts: 160 (11/14/07 3:35 am) Reply | Edit | As I've said before, Steve, the Nemonymous products themselves have not got my name attached to them as publisher or editor. So when they are all that remain as books, future posterity will never know. In fact I am an internet impostor merely claiming I am its editor and publisher, for lack of anyone else claiming this. :-) Seriously, the thing would never work at all without a name people can (hopefully) trust electronically attached to it. There are many people who relish having their stories initially published anonymously, ie without name or pseudonym embedded in its text, Angeline. Nemo is the only opportunity writers have for this. Please see Nemo's Ark. don't mention it to anyone else and see how many people actually stumble across it. Even I wouldn't be silly enough to use such a publicity method! Indeed all writers are late-labelled in Nemonymous, so once I had late-labelled myself (in line with the authors) for the first Nemonymous, then that method wouldn't work. But as I say, my name as DF Lewis isn't in the actual books, in any event. des Edited by: Nemonymous at: 11/14/07 3:51 am
