I've started watching the third series of LOST on DVD (not possessing Sky TV). This is a satisfyingly brisk and sometimes violent resumption of the series and its involuted intricacies make me keep thinking of the phrase invented in the 2003 book 'Weirdmonger' (Prime): The Synchronised Shards of Random Truth and Fiction. It somehow makes fabrication realler than non-fabrication. As does the TV series of 'Life on Mars'. Magic Fiction transposed to the screen?
